As part of our 2012 Grants for Success Program, we received two applications from student-run school groups--KAT (Kids Against Tobacco, Winooski Middle School), and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions, Burr & Burton Academy). We actively promoted this section of the application to support young peoples' community service projects.
We are thrilled to have had them each receive 100% free signage to help promote their causes. Both student groups are worthy in and of themselves, but when we read the applications and learned about the program and how the students participate in community service functions,we wanted to support it fully. Both groups received full color banners for their events, and will be able to use them again next year.
Congratulations to the participants of each organization--you're doing great work for your communities.
